The AAM Group, a program distribution group in the SEMA marketplace, has announced the completion of an in-house video and photography studio complete with specialized lighting, floor and backdrop. AAM transformed part of its warehouse space to complete the area, which is intended to enhance production of AAM’s “In the Garage,” “Who Is…” and “First Look” video series; document project-vehicle builds; and enable product photo shoots, among other efforts.
Unlike the short shelf life of social media, videos get only more effective as time goes on and views go up, according to the group. The AAM Group invested heavily into preparing this area to meet modern, professional standards for video/photo production as well as the high expectations of its industry partners. The studio includes a specially painted floor, neutral vinyl backdrop, and custom graphic backdrops that can be brought in for special video broadcasts. The custom overhead light box uses Vision X Shockwave industrial lights and a canvas filter to simulate a slightly overcast day, which is optimal for both video and photography.
From concept to construction, the project was executed entirely in house by the AAM team, not only to tailor the area to meet AAM’s specific needs, but also to keep costs low and provide a team-building experience.
