COSTA MESA, Calif. – EZ Lube, a quick-lube retailer based in Costa Mesa, Calif., has announced the addition of Roger Dunlap in the role of vice president of operations. Dunlap believes that maintaining great morale at EZ Lube is just as important as maintaining the million-plus vehicles that drive through the company's 74 locations each year. As VP of Operations, he's also striving to boost store sales, maintain the brand's positive image with consumers and improve execution within the stores.

"Roger brings the extraordinary depth and range of experience our organization needs as we work to revitalize the company and renew our commitment to outstanding service," said Guy Marsala, president and CEO of EZ Lube. "He has been involved in dynamic, fast-growing retail organizations and multibillion-dollar international companies for many years, and he has rare insights into how to both improve store operations and enhance a brand for long-term results. His vision, experience and enthusiasm make Roger a welcome and vital addition to our new leadership team."

Dunlap's impressive track record as a senior leader makes him a perfect fit for EZ Lube, a company that is more focused than ever on providing quick and affordable service and an emphasis on quality, the company says. That track record includes the implementation of a competitive corporate structure at Blockbuster Entertainment that achieved greater efficiency; a 10-percent boost in productivity at Movie Gallery Corp./Hollywood Entertainment Corp.; and attainment of the highest sales increase in four years at Nine West Group/Jones Apparel Group.

"We're implementing a number of changes and launching a variety of new programs at EZ Lube, all with the goal of taking even better care of our customers, their cars and our employees," says Dunlap. "We're doing it with powerful leadership and a motivated team committed to excellence."

EZ Lube's stores are company-owned and -operated, not franchised, which the company says gives the organization a consistency of price and service that goes unmatched in the quick lube sector.
