LAS VEGAS Honeywell Friction Materials, the maker of
Bendix brake products, is launching a completely revised point-of-sale kit that
provides repair shops with all the tools necessary to both show and tell the
tangible benefits of receiving the best brake job possible for their vehicle.
The all-new Bendix Sales Kit includes a window cling,
educational counter mat and counter cards, and a premium friction sample and
was designed in part using feedback from repair shops. The company notes that
clear messaging throughout the kit’s elements both educates and empowers
consumers to make the best choice in brake pads for their vehicle, while also
enabling technicians to maximize the profit potential of their business.
Using the counter cards, technicians can guide customers through
a few basic questions designed to define their driving style, as well as gauge
each customer’s personal preference for certain product-specific features
(longer life, stopping power and performance or lower dust, less noise and
pedal feel). Once driving style and preferences are determined, the counter
cards then match individuals with the brake pads that will best meet their
needs.
Powerful graphics on the window cling reinforce the importance
of reliable, safe brakes with depictions of everyday events such as a child
chasing a ball into the street. The counter mat features nine clearly
identified warning signs of potential brake problems, including vibration,
pull, squealing, soft pedal and more. The friction sample gives customers a
hands-on example of the unmatched quality the Bendix team has provided for
more than 80 years.

drivers added piece of mind that they’re investing in the appropriate upgrade
