LAS
VEGAS Tenneco has announced that the Monroe Quick-Strut line of premium replacement
strut assemblies will grow through a increase planned for early 2012.
The
company says this expansion comprising nearly 40 SKUs covering approximately
20 popular light truck, sport-utility vehicle and passenger car models
reflects record demand for the company’s all-in-one strut replacement solution.
Tenneco’s
Monroe Quick-Strut production capacity also is at an all-time high, with seven
U.S.-based production lines now dedicated to the strut assembly category. The
company was the first to introduce a complete strut assembly for the
aftermarket, in 2003, and already offers significantly more SKUs than any other
manufacturer.
“We
receive new requests for Quick-Strut coverage almost every day,” said Bill
Dennie, director of ride control channel management, North American
Aftermarket, Tenneco. “As the pioneer in this category, we have continued to
lead other suppliers in every key area affecting installers and consumers,
including the technologies available within each Quick-Strut unit, application
coverage and the confidence that comes with a comprehensive quality and
performance guarantee.”
In
addition to expanding Quick-Strut coverage, Tenneco has added a new damping technology
that the company says enables technicians to meet the unique ride control
demands of today’s foreign nameplate vehicles. The Quick-Strut line now includes
the Monroe brand’s OESpectrum struts, which provide exceptional control
without the unwanted noise, vibration and harshness commonly encountered in
vehicles with lighter-weight suspensions and low-profile tires. Quick-Strut
assemblies engineered for domestic passenger cars are equipped with premium
Monroe Sensa-Trac struts, while units for domestic light trucks and SUVs
are equipped with Monroe Reflex struts.
“By
choosing Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies, shops can be certain that the strut’s
construction and valving technology have been carefully tuned to meet the
unique needs of each model. Relying on another supplier, who might offer only
one technology across all makes and models, could lead to compromises in
overall ride characteristics in some cases,” Dennie said.
The
company notes that each Monroe Quick-Strut assembly represents careful
attention to detail in the form of a premium strut featuring Tenneco’s
exclusive, application-engineered valving technologies; precisely calibrated
coil spring; robust bearing plate; and other high quality parts designed
specifically for the vehicle. Each component is selected by Tenneco engineers
to help restore the vehicle’s original ride and handling characteristics. Every
Quick-Strut assembly is backed by the company’s popular limited lifetime
warranty and 90-day Safe & Sound guarantee. Visit Monroe.com for
