MOUNT VERNON, Mo. Reyco Granning, a manufacturer of air, steel spring and auxiliary suspensions used by truck, trailer and specialty vehicle OEMs, has realigned its corporate structure to increase customer response time and satisfaction. At the center of the new structure is a “value stream,” whereby members from engineering, sales and customer service will focus solely on a specific group of customers and report to the vice president of their designated value stream.
The company said the establishment of cross-functional teams empowers the value stream leaders to be more strategic on all levels, from new product development to pricing to market share.
Reyco Granning products are now classified under the following three value streams:
· Light Vehicle and Auxiliary led by Brien Scheffee;
· Powered Vehicle led by Joe Gallo; and
· Trailer and Aftermarket led by Steve Denny.
Scheffee brings more than 15 years in the transportation industry to the position of vice president of Light Vehicle and Auxiliary. He started his career as a machine operator at a major U.S. trailer manufacturer and quickly worked his way up through the ranks. Having occupied leadership roles in areas ranging from commodity management and purchasing to production supervision and operations management, Scheffee has a multifaceted understanding of the industry.
"Brien has a track record of streamlining processes, increasing efficiencies, lowering costs and increasing market shares and revenue. This combined with his strong commitment to customer relations made him my first choice for this position," said Ray Mueller, president of Reyco Granning.
Gallo has been a leader in the transportation industry for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, Gallo has been on the frontline of management and sales for several leading manufacturers. He has a record of putting together successful sales strategies and recruiting the right people to help him achieve his goals.
"I chose Joe for the VP of Powered Vehicles because of his level of expertise, knowledge and relationships within the industry. His experience will help him take the Reyco Granning powered vehicle market to the next level," said Mueller.
With close to 25 years in sales and management, Denny brings a high level of knowledge to his position as vice president of Trailers and Aftermarket. Denny established himself as a business development leader for two Fortune 100 companies. He has a reputation of identifying trends and evaluating processes in order to increase revenues. Mueller describes Denny as "a strategic thinker who knows how to grow business through organic efforts as well as by generating new opportunities."
