DIXON, Ill. — Plews Inc. (dba Plews & Edelmann) has agreed to acquire Omega Power Steering Hose based in Solon, Ohio, from Atsco Remanufacturing Inc.

Plews said the acquisition would immediately increase the company's SKU coverage of aftermarket power steering hose and improves upon its ability to introduce new applications for its aftermarket power steering customers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Steve Venghaus, president of Plews, said "The acquisition of Omega will allow us to offer the best of both programs to our Edelmann and Omega power steering customers. The addition of Omega to our product offering improves our capacity, flexibility, responsiveness and new product development and allows our customers to participate in more of the market currently enjoyed by OE car dealers.”

Curtis Jennings from Omega has been named the managing director of Automotive Replacement Parts at Plews. He added that "both the Edelmann and Omega brands will continue to be offered to the aftermarket, and customers of both brands should expect an influx of new application coverage added to our offerings in the immediate future.”
