YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Bosal North America Inc., has appointed aftermarket veteran John Tiger as director of sales for its ACPS (Automotive Carriers and Protection Systems) Division. The company produces a line of trailer hitches and windstops for both OEM and aftermarket applications. The division was originally established as part of a joint venture between Bosal International N.V. and ORIS GmbH of Germany.

In this new role, Tiger is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's new tow hitch program from start-up through application development, marketing and sales. He also will manage sales of the Bosal Windstop product line, which is supplied to both OE and aftermarket customers.

Bosal says Tiger brings a great deal of sales and marketing savvy along with the benefits of key industry knowledge and established business relationships to the organization. He has more than 23 years of experience in sales, marketing and management for several automotive, RV, trailer and marine companies.

Before joining Bosal, Tiger was regional sales manager for Valley Towing Products, where he managed all automotive, RV and installer sales for Northeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for Cobra Sales LLC, and managed operations and a nine-member sales team organization representing Valley Towing Products.

Tiger also was previously director of marketing and key account manager for Cequent Towing Products, and also served as eastern regional sales manager for Draw-Tite/Reese and Cequent Towing Products, as well as northeast district sales manager for Draw-Tite Inc.

An accomplished technical writer and journalist, Tiger has been a longtime technical editor and field contributor for Affinity Group in Ventura, Calif. He is a regular contributor to popular publications such as Trailer Boats, Bass & Walleye Boats and Camping Life and has produced more than 500 monthly stories, articles and technical advice columns.

He holds a BS/BA in marketing and business management from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Fla.
