WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Green Earth Technologies Inc. announced that its new formulas for both G-OIL 5W-30 and 5W-20 ultimate biodegradable bio-based full synthetic green motor oils have received API SM certifications. Concurrently, Green Earth Technologies is finalizing patent applications for these formulations. G-OIL is still the world's first and only API certified bio-based motor oil.

Expanding the company's motor oil product line with the additional SAE viscosity grade of 5W-20 will allow GET to offer retailers a program that serves 65 percent of the total U.S. motor oil category, according to the company.

The new reformulated G-OIL 5W-20 and 5W-30 bio-based full synthetic motor oil is expected to go into production this fall and will be priced the same as the current G-OIL 5W-30, which retails between $6.43 and $7.99 per quart.
