CHANTILLY, Va. -- A highlight of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group Summit on Jan. 23, 2012, in Las Vegas will be a luncheon featuring the annual “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” Award. The award will be presented to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. A committee will make the selection from among those nominated.

Nominations are now being accepted and may be directed to the attention of Bill Gager at the Automotive Parts Remanufacturer Association (APRA) Headquarters.

According to Gager, “Six years ago the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) was formed to further the interests of the heavy duty remanufacturer members of APRA. Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard-working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon in 2012.”

The registration fee for the HDRG Summit will include admittance to the luncheon.

Gager added, “We hope all heavy duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace."

The HDRG Summit always takes place right before the opening of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), which will be held Jan. 23-26, 2012, at The Mirage Hotel.

HDAW is an industry driven week of meetings, conferences and a trade show to centralize the industry’s events in one place at one time. Most top executives of major component suppliers will be in attendance.
