Le Monde has reported that Groupe Michelin co-managing director Didier Miraton will announce his resignation on June 21.
According to the newspaper, the move is part of a shake-up by incoming CEO Jean-Dominique Senard.
Miraton, 53, is a 30-year veteran of Michelin, and his five-year management contract was due to expire in 2012. Senard has been approved by shareholders as a co-managing director, and will assume the full role as CEO upon the retirement of Michel Rollier.
Le Monde, without citing a source, said Senard is seeking to “revitalize” the company’s R&D strategy to better compete against its chief global rivals.
