STAUNTON, Va. Hovis Auto & Truck Supply held a grand opening event on May 18 to celebrate its new location in Allison Park, Pa. The event featured NASCAR drivers and Federated spokesmen Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace, plus the No. 52 Federated ARCA car driven by Tom Hessert.
“We are excited to be in the Pittsburgh market with our 14th location,” said Cliff Hovis, president of Hovis Auto & Truck Supply. “We want to thank our valued customers, the two Kennys and
Federated Auto Parts for making our event a huge success. Overall, it was a terrific day for everyone involved.”
More than 300 guests and customers attended the grand opening event, which included a cookout lunch and prize giveaways that included Apple iPads, HP Mini Netbooks and autographed NASCAR memorabilia. Local country station Y108 was on-hand with a live radio broadcast announcing the site of Hovis’ newest location on Route 8 in Allison Park.
Located in western Pennsylvania, Hovis Auto and Truck Supply has been a family-owned business since 1952. Since that time, the company has grown to 14 locations including a new warehouse facility. Hovis executives are also active in aftermarket leadership roles, with Cliff Hovis currently serving on the executive committee and board of governors for Federated Auto Parts, while vice president Curt Hovis serves on a variety of paint, body and equipment manufacturer boards. In addition, Cliff has also served as a member of the board of governors of AWDA.
