CONNERSVILLE, Ind. -- Stant Corp., a global manufacturer of vapor and fluid control components, has announced a significant new contract with a major customer, marking one of the largest single contracts in the company’s 113-year history.

Stant President and CEO Curt Howell commented, “We are pleased we have been chosen for this major multi-year contract valued at more than $25 million in annual revenue with production scheduled to begin this summer. The product category, automotive carbon canisters that reduce vehicle emissions, is a core competency for Stant and validates the acquisitions we have made in the last year as we continue our growth trajectory for years to come. We see more on the horizon and it is an exciting time for the company.”

Stant’s Connersville, Ind., operation is one of the production facilities being considered to build the carbon canisters. Stant also manufactures carbon canisters in Romeoville, Ill., and China, and has additional production operations in Arkansas, Michigan, Mexico, the Czech Republic and China.

Stant added that it is making a substantial investment in the business and numerous new jobs will be created by this contract and other programs already awarded year-to-date.
