TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — Fontaine Fifth Wheel, the world’s largest fifth wheel manufacturer, has promoted Robbie Laney to product manager.

In this role, Laney will manage all new product launches, integrating the efforts of the manufacturing, engineering and purchasing teams. He will also coordinate cost estimates for new products and manage the quotations of all non-standard options, simplifying the process for customers.

“Robbie’s strong interpersonal and technical skills make him an ideal person to take on this challenging new position,” said Aaron Puckett, director of customer support. “We have a strong team in place, and Robbie’s talent will help us better serve our customers.”

Laney has extensive experience in product development, customer support, cost analysis and engineering. He joined Fontaine in 2010 as a product sales engineer. He previously held engineering positions with other Alabama firms. Laney earned a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical and materials engineering, as well as a master’s degree in management science with a specialization in operations management, from the University of Alabama.
