SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has announced that Dan Williford has been hired as marketing director, effective May 31. Working from the San Antonio, Texas, headquarters office, Williford will report directly to president and CEO John Washbish.

Williford has 20 years of aftermarket experience divided between the distribution and manufacturing sides of the business. Most recently, he served as marketing director for Airtex Products, headquartered in Fairfield, Ill. Williford earned his bachelor of arts degree from East Carolina University.

“As you might imagine, we were inundated with resumes when this opening was announced,” said Washbish. “We went through a rigorous hiring process and, compared to other candidates, Dan clearly embodied more of the traits we were looking for. The Alliance has many major projects underway right now, and with Dan’s experience and attitude, we know he will be a contributor almost immediately.”

Williford talked about the ambivalence of leaving a great job for a better job: “The Airtex folks have been extremely good to me for the past six years. But the Alliance head marketing position represents a once in a lifetime opportunity for personal and professional growth.”

Along with his wife Carrie and their three children, Williford will be relocating to the San Antonio area in the very near future.
