WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Dow Automotive Systems has joined the
Diesel Technology Forum (DTF), a non-profit association that promotes the use of the most advanced clean diesel engines, fuel and technology in the United States.
Among the wide range of automotive products Dow has developed is the new AERIFY diesel particulate filter, which the company says features an advanced ceramic honeycomb with a unique microstructure that provides low backpressure and unique system performance advantages applicable across a wide range of diesel after treatment applications.
"Dow Automotive System's success in increasing energy efficiency in automobiles and large commercial trucks while also reducing exhaust emissions has contributed significantly to the growing improvements in today's clean diesel technology," said Allen Schaeffer, the executive director of DTF.
According to Steve Majkowski, global marketing director, Powertrain & Emissions, Dow Automotive Systems, the company is finalizing preparations for commercial production of the AERIFY diesel particulate filter this year.
