What was your first job in the industry?

Sales administrator

What do you like best about your current position?

As Manager of Marketing Communications, no two days are ever alike! This position encourages creativity and provides a variety of responsibilities including design and production of sales support materials; planning media campaigns; managing SKF's NASCAR Sprint Cup program; trade show management; customer promotional program development; and content management for the Vehicle Service Market website.

Did you initially intend to pursue a career in the aftermarket? If not, what drew you to the industry and what keeps you here?

Some of my earliest memories are of spending time with my Dad at his Sinclair gas station so I guess you could say I was destined to work in the aftermarket. After a working for a short time in other fields, I spent 14 years with Maremont/Gabriel. In 1992, I began work at SKF and have just celebrated my 19th anniversary [with the company]. One thing that is constant in the aftermarket is change, which provides on-going challenges and the need to continually be creative.

What one word best sums up your personality?

Giving.

What do you do when not at work?

When I have a few spare minutes, I love to read. When time allows, I enjoy gardening. And, no holiday would be complete without a tray of my special homemade butter cookies.

What was your first car?

Buick Riviera

Do you have a hidden talent?

Baking and hand-decorating cookies

What are you currently reading?

"The Girl Who Played with Fire" -- third in an excellent series

Who is on your dream dinner party guest list?

Jon Bon Jovi and Johnny Depp

Favorite quote/mantra/motto?

Always find a way to help someone else.
