ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The new VDO 2011 TPMS Replacement Parts Catalog has been significantly expanded to include the latest additions to one of the industry's leading TPMS replacement parts programs. The new VDO catalog, which has been released by Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, showcases the new VDO REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors as well as expanded TPMS OE application coverage on domestic, European and Asian vehicles.

The 2011 catalog also features a separate application section for tire pressure sensors and an illustrated buyer’s guide with individual listings for sensor assemblies, service kits and wheel bands. In addition, the 2011 catalog delivers the full line of VDO TPMS service parts and includes descriptions, photos, illustrations, technical and ordering information, installation tips, service kit guide, make/model index, an OE Cross Reference and REDI-Sensor OE Cross Reference.

New REDI-Sensor Multi-application TPMS Sensors
According to Continental, VDO REDI-Sensor sensors represent a significant breakthrough in TPMS service and profitability. In addition to the multi-application coverage, they work with all major scan tools, require no special programming and relearn to the vehicle using the OE process, the company says. VDO REDI-Sensor sensors bring simplicity, ease of installation and better profit potential to TPMS service. These sensors come pre-programmed and have a faster scan tool hunt mode and relearn process than competitive aftermarket sensors, which results in a quicker service turnaround.

Expanded domestic, European and Asian applications
The VDO OE TPMS Replacement Parts program has also been expanded with new applications added for domestic, Asian and European vehicles and offers coverage for more than 35 million vehicles. Applications now include models from Acura, Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, KIA, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo as well as new coverage for Nissan.

The VDO program also is the only replacement source for dealer-identical Ford/Mercury/Lincoln/Mazda TPMS wheel mounting bands, which up to now have only been available from the OE dealer, according to Continental.
