In support of the upcoming 16th annual Global Automotive Aftermarket
Symposium (GAAS) in Chicago, aftermarketNews (AMN) has partnered with
GAAS to gather reader insights tailored specifically to the topics that
will be discussed at this year’s event.
On day two of this year’s GAAS, David Portalatin, director of industry
analysis, NPD Group, will present, “What Do Women Want?” which will
explore how marketers of automotive products are finally taking notice
of the buying power women have traditionally held in other markets.
Portalatin’s presentation will look at research on female shoppers and
examine the questions: What influence do women have in the purchase
process? How can product marketers better tap into the buying power of
women? What role does social media play with so-called "Social Media
Moms?" In addition, Portalatin will unveil customized research on the
subject for the first time at GAAS 2011.
In conjunction with his upcoming presentation, Mr. Portalatin would like to know the following from AMN readers:
Are you doing enough to accommodate women buyers?
Please rate how well you feel your business does at serving female customers.
A: We’re having a lot of success reaching female consumers.
B: We feel we’ve got a good handle on it, but there’s always room for improvement.
C: So-so. We could use some help.
D: What female customers?
