SMYRNA, Tenn. – Ideal Clamp Products Inc., a global designer and manufacturer of worm gear, hose and specialty clamps, has announced the merging of the Ideal and Tridon brands.

“We want to embody who we are without losing sight of where we came from,” said Mike Reese, president of Ideal. “When Ideal and Tridon merged more than 10 years ago, two extraordinary companies were joined to create one world-class leader in the clamp industry. Combining these two brands not only reflects the strength of those two companies, but also the essence of who we are now.”

The IDEAL-TRIDON brand will be backed by more than 185 years of experience in designing and engineering high-quality clamps, the company says.

“This branding evolution is a part of our continued growth and commitment to providing quality clamps in our industry,” said Reese. “Our end goal is to increase efficiency and to offer the best of both products to our end-users.”

The first step in the brand merger will be the introduction of IDEAL-TRIDON brand stamped on both Ideal and Tridon clamp housings. However, certain global markets will continue using the IDEAL and/or TRIDON brands.

The company added that customers will begin to see the new IDEAL-TRIDON products immediately, with future plans to include updated literature, packaging and a new IDEAL-TRIDON brand website.
