Remy International Files for IPO

PENDLETON, Ind. -- Remy International has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed public offering of shares of its common stock.

Remy said it intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include debt reduction, acquisition of one or more companies or businesses and product and geographic expansion.

As much as $100 million could be raised through the IPO, according to reports.
