ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- MAM Software Inc. has announced that Hanson Distributing Co., a southern California warehouse distributor and member of Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, has selected its Autopart management solution to replace its current legacy system.

Founded in 1954, Hanson Distributing Co. has four warehouses and seven company-owned auto parts stores. It serves more than 300 independent auto parts stores throughout Southern California.

Hanson had been operating a character-based system that served them well for many years but over time became outdated and restrictive, according to Dan Hanson, president of Hanson Distributing Co.

"We are excited about the possibilities with the new technology," said Hanson. "We selected MAM because the system is well-designed, the technology is current and the company has the right partner attitude. We prefer working with companies that value our opinion and it is obvious that MAM has built their success on that very idea."

MAM Software President Brian Allibon said he is "delighted" with the new business relationship.

"Hanson Distributing is a very strong player in the market and an active member of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance," Allibon said. "Dan Hanson is close to his business and active in the details of the operation. We look forward to working with him to address his challenges and help him achieve his goals. In doing so, we believe that we will become a better company with a better solution."
