LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. – SMP has added a new line of motorcycle parts to its Standard brand family of products.

According to SMP, the Standard brand motorcycle product line is a basic extension of SMP’s core automotive offering and covers key categories such as ignition, wire sets and heavy-duty point sets for vintage applications, fuel, electrical and electrical accessories.

“SMP is the only engine management aftermarket company in the industry to offer a line of direct replacement motorcycle parts,” said Bruno Mijat, senior product manager. “With more than 100 part numbers now available, we will continue to add new part numbers to the line throughout the year.”

The Standard brand motorcycle line offers direct replacement parts, primarily for Harley-Davidson, featuring OE match or heavy-duty improved construction, the company notes. For example, the Standard motorcycle wire is a high-performance 8mm triple-silicone design that can be used with stock or custom coils.

The new Standard motorcycle line catalog provides applications as well as a full color buyers’ guide and is available electronically at www.standardbrand.com.
