CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Prestolite is the new exclusive North American distributor of CATACLEAN, a product designed for drivers who want to extend the life of their car, improve fuel economy and reduce emissions, enabling vehicles to pass emissions tests and minimize carbon footprints.

Patented CATACLEAN is a non-mechanical solution to emissions failure. Unlike other products that clean only specific components such as the injectors, CATACLEAN cleans the catalytic converter and O2 sensor together, according to Prestolite.

Added to the fuel tank every three months, CATACLEAN is designed to address carbon build-up and cleans the vehicle’s catalytic converter and oxygen sensor. Oftentimes, drivers will use a lower grade of gasoline than their owners’ manual specifications, which leads to accelerated carbon build-up and related drivability issues. Carbon build-up can also occur with extended time between oil changes and maintenance such as fuel filter replacement and tune-ups.

CATACLEAN also treats power restoration, hard starts, rough idles and hesitation while driving, the company says. When used every three months as regular maintenance and a pre-treatment for emissions tests, CATACLEAN promises to improve drivability, increase fuel economy, extend vehicle life and reduce harmful emissions by up to 60 percent, according to Prestolite.

With proven independent testing, Prestolite says it is confident in CATACLEAN’s performance and is guaranteeing consumers double their money back if they do not pass the emissions test.
