MONROE, Mich. – Tenneco has launched its new line of Monroe OESpectrum shock absorbers and struts for foreign nameplate vehicles, along with an array of point-of-sale merchandising materials and other tools to help technicians increase their ride control sales.

Now available through most leading parts distributors, new Monroe OESpectrum shocks and struts provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered in foreign nameplate applications, Tenneco says. The OESpectrum product line, featuring Tenneco’s exclusive Twin Technology Active Control System, comprises approximately 800 SKUs covering virtually any popular foreign nameplate passenger vehicle.

To support the OESpectrum launch, the Monroe marketing team developed new print and online advertising materials, technical brochures and other literature for use by the shop owner and technician, as well as attractive point-of-sale items, including a metal tacker shop sign for interior or exterior use. The tacker sign and related materials are being distributed to the thousands of members of Tenneco’s popular Expert Plus dealer loyalty program.

“The foreign nameplate ride control category is a huge opportunity for vehicle service providers, and Monroe has developed a revolutionary product to help them turn this opportunity into increased sales and strong customer relationships,” said Bill Dennie, director, channel management, North American aftermarket, Tenneco. “Our new OESpectrum communication materials are designed to maximize awareness and demand for these world-class shocks and struts at every level of the distribution chain, including among the millions of consumers who drive foreign nameplate vehicles.”

Tenneco adds that, as one of the world’s leading suppliers of OE ride control products, the company works closely with many of the largest global vehicle manufacturers. Monroe OESpectrum shocks and struts utilize the company’s latest Impact Control Valve (ICV) and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design to deliver exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions while isolating noise, vibration and harshness, the company says.
