FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. WAIglobal was recently named one of the winners of the seventh annual
PM100 Awards, selected by Manufacturing Enterprise Communications Inc., producers of the Manufacturing Leadership Summit and publishers of Managing Automation.
The Progressive Manufacturing 100 awards program honors manufacturing companies that have transformed themselves through the use of information technology. Every year, Managing Automation recognizes 100 groundbreaking manufacturing companies from around the world. These winners are selected based on their successful completion of projects that deliver demonstrable competitive advantage.
Abraham Kurian, WAIglobal vice president of Information Technology, commented, “Our increased automation in our distribution and manufacturing operations has increased our efficiencies and positioned us to better serve our customers and support continued growth.”
An independent judging panel chaired by David Brousell, editor-in-chief, and Jeff Moad, executive editor of Managing Automation, reviewed project nominations.
“As we prepare for the eventual end of the Great Recession, these winning companies dramatically underscore how the manufacturing industry will begin to emerge in an even stronger position once a recovery takes a firm hold,” Brousell said. “The projects that enabled these companies to become PM100 winners reflect great creativity and inventiveness, a determined willingness to take risk and an enduring resilience to continually improve every aspect of their business. These companies are leading the way to a better future.”
