SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- Experian Automotive has announced the launch of
CheckMyRide.com, a free website for car enthusiasts where members can build their own personal vehicle history timeline, track the whereabouts of vehicles they have owned in the past and easily share their favorite memories about the cars and trucks they love on Facebook and Twitter. The new site also allows members to receive a free AutoCheck report to view and share their current vehicle's history.
"Everyone has a car story to share. Maybe it's about the first car you ever bought, the car you drove in college or the new convertible in your garage," said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. "Now with CheckMyRide.com, people have a community where they can share stories about the cars they have loved with other car enthusiasts."
The CheckMyRide.com website allows members to create a profile for each vehicle they've owned as well as add pictures and comments to build their timeline. Using the power of AutoCheck -- Experian's vehicle history reporting service -- members also can enter their vehicle identification number into the "Where In The World Is My Old Car?" tool to map where their old car ended up or where their current car has been.
"Car shoppers use our AutoCheck vehicle history reports to help them confidently understand, compare and select the right vehicle," Waldron added. "By leveraging the information within AutoCheck, we are uniquely positioned to offer a fun and engaging way for people to interact and share stories about their own personal vehicle history."
