GRAND BLANC, Mich. General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales is extending its $200 transmission rebate program for retail customers until March 31. The program covers dealer-installed Genuine GM Parts transmissions in eligible 1999 and older GM passenger cars and light-duty trucks, excluding Saab.
The transmission comes with a fully transferable limited warranty for three years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first (automatic transmissions), or one year/12,000 miles for manual transmissions. The warranty begins on the date of installation by an authorized GM dealer. The offer does not apply to transmissions replaced under warranty and is for retail customers only. The $200 rebate is mailed to customers in the form of a debit card.
Dealers are encouraged to provide customers with the rebate form; however, customers can complete an online rebate form at
www.genuinegmpartsrebates.com for expedited processing.
Forms and repair orders must be received by the Rebate Processing Center by April 30.
