LANGHORNE, Pa. -- Eastern Catalytic has launched a new series of three-way catalytic converters (TWC), which have received a California Air Resources Board (CARB) exemption for use as aftermarket replacements on some Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV).

Eastern says it is the first aftermarket converter manufacturer to receive a CARB aftermarket exemption for a ULEV application and the first to market with the new converter.

Eastern has made a substantial investment in engineering and R&D to develop the new series and is currently nearing completion on additional California vehicle application programs, according to Henry Hippert, executive sales director.

The new Series 670000 ULEV manifold converters are designed for direct-fit on 2001-2005 Honda Civic models and are covered by Eastern's 50,000-mile warranty.
