TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. – Marmon Highway Technologies/Berkshire Hathaway company Perfection has launched a new Asia-based operation, Perfection Shanghai, as part of an initiative to partner with a select group of the most demanding customers by providing them with the best service and value.

“In 2010, we completely upgraded our development labs in the USA and Mexico to assure first-to-market product innovations, and to continue our guarantee of OE quality and performance,” said Perfection President Matt Mangas.

“In 2011, Perfection Shanghai will directly ship custom-mixed SKUs to the distribution centers of customers who value such efficiencies, and the benefits of quality at the source,” Mangas said. “The ‘Plus’ in this new program is the continued local support from our USA and Mexico operations. All customer and product needs, including central ordering points, management of low-volume SKUs, training and marketing will be managed locally.”

Mangas credited Perfection’s senior management team in Shanghai with bringing the new operation online. “Their expertise in Asia, coupled with a long history with our North American management group, will yield great advantages to our customers,” he said.

Based in Timmonsville, S.C., Perfection has been serving the driveline industry since 1918 as a manufacturer and supplier of clutches, clutch hydraulics and drivetrain products for the American, Canadian and Mexican aftermarkets.
