TRELLEBORG, Sweden – Trelleborg, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions division, has signed an agreement to acquire U.S.-based Lutz Sales Inc., a privately owned distributor.

Lutz Sales has headquarters and a warehouse in the Chicago area. The company is a distributor of a broad range of precisions seals and customer-specific rubber components for the North American market.

“Lutz Sales has shown a solid development and is a well-managed company,” said Claus Barsøe, president of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. “The acquisition strengthens Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ presence in the North American market and broadens our product offering and our customer base in this region.”

The acquisition is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2010.
