RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Jeremy Denton has been named vice president of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). In his new role, he will add responsibilities for membership recruitment and retention, event planning, sponsorships and affiliate development.

“Jeremy has been an asset to our association and its members since joining us in 2005,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. “We’re delighted to have him on the AASA team and look forward to new enhancements and initiatives under his leadership as he moves into this important spot.”

In addition to his new duties, Denton will continue to be responsible for the Filter Manufacturers Council (FMC), the Overseas Automotive Council (OAC) -- the AASA council focused on global aftermarket exporting -- and the AASA China Aftermarket Forum (CAF).

Before joining MEMA in 2005, Denton served as director, industry affairs for PICA -The Wireless Infrastructure Association, with offices in Washington, D.C. He began his career with the Industrial Telecommunications Association, where he served as director, government affairs. He’s a graduate of the University of Arkansas and received his Masters of Public Policy from The George Washington University.
