RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Fuel Pump Manufacturers Council (FPMC), part of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association, announced its new slate of officers for 2011. The officers were seated during the FPMC meeting Nov. 1 during AAPEX in Las Vegas.

Jeff Richardson, drivability group manager for Federal-Mogul Corp., will be the 2011 FPMC chairman. Dan Caciolo, senior product manager, engine management, Continental, will serve as the FPMC vice chairman for 2011.

Also at the meeting, Steve Gonzales, product manager, fuel systems, Denso Sales California, was honored for his work as the 2010 FPMC chairman. He will continue to serve the council as outgoing chairman.

The FPMC provides education, training and resources for professional technicians and do-it-yourselfers that enable them to properly and safely diagnose fuel systems and fuel pumps, repair fuel systems and dispose of fuel. Its mission is to reduce warranty on fuel handling products to acceptable levels within the industry by providing professional technicians and DIY installers with the resources, tools and information to more effectively diagnose and service automotive fuel systems.
