Kathi Mehall Named Vice President, Information Technology for Affinia Group

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Kathi Mehall has been named vice president, information technology for Affinia Group Inc., effective Nov. 1. In her new position, Mehall will report directly to Affinia President and CEO Terry McCormack and will be a member of Affinia’s Executive Committee. She will be responsible for the development of information technology in support of Affinia’s global business model.

“Kathi will help assure we deploy information technology in innovative ways that are highly supportive of our customers and supply chain,” McCormack said. “Throughout her career, Kathi has gained invaluable experience with the strategic alignment of ever-evolving information technology infrastructure to facilitate achievement of dynamic global business objectives.”

Prior to joining Affinia, Mehall worked as an independent IT consultant, based in Northville, Mich. She also served as vice president of technology for Urban Science in Detroit. In this role, she was responsible for global IT strategy, development, operations and infrastructure organization.

During her career, Mehall served as vice president and CIO corporate services for GMAC, where she was responsible for the development of a global IT organization in support of GMAC after its divestiture by GM. Previously, she served as director and CIO planning for General Motors, a position that included global IT operations reviews and development of the GM Information Systems and Services Balanced Scorecard. In this role, Mehall was instrumental in IT operations reviews supporting all areas of GM, including GM’s On-Star system.

Mehall is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in computer science.
