FULLERTON, Calif. – Due to continued increases in the cost of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation-related expenses, Yokohama Tire Corp. has announced it will increase prices by up to 8 percent on all of its consumer tires. This includes passenger, performance and light truck tires. The increase will go into effect Dec. 1. The tire maker said there will be in-line adjustments as well, which will be announced at a later date.

“As always, Yokohama remains committed to bringing the best products to the market at competitive prices by integrating operational efficiencies, environmental procedures and the latest technology,” said Shawn Denlein, Yokohama director of sales, consumer products. “We do our best to control our costs, but the escalating costs of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation must, unfortunately, be assimilated in our product pricing.”

The last price increase on consumer tires from Yokohama was June 1.
