CHANTILLY, Va. – Nominations are now being accepted for the annual “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” Award, presented by the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA). The award recognizes a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. A committee will make the selection from among those nominated.

The award will be presented at a luncheon Jan. 17, 2010, during the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group Summit in Las Vegas.

According to Bill Gager, president of APRA, “Five years ago, the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) was formed to further the interests of the heavy duty remanufacturer members of APRA. Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon in 2011.”

Gager noted that a high percentage of APRA members participate in the heavy duty marketplace and that this is the ideal way to recognize these members by initiating an annual “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” award. The registration fee for the HDRG Summit will include admittance to the luncheon.

Gager added, “We hope all heavy duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace.”

The HDRG Summit always takes place right before the opening of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) which will be Jan. 17-20, 2011. For complete details of the Fifth Annual HDRG Summit, visit www.hdrg.org.

Nominations for the “Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year” Award can be directed to the attention of Bill Gager at the APRA Headquarters. E-mail him here.
