WAYNE, N.J. After seeing the success of its "Great Catch" spring incentive program, Hankook Tire America Corp. says it is planning another baseball-themed giveaway, just in time for the playoffs: The "Great Hit" Mail-In Rebate and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Giveaway.
Similar to Hankook’s rebate offer from earlier this year, consumers who purchase four select tires of any size from an authorized dealer between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30 are eligible for a mail-in rebate of up to $60. And further enhancing the rebate offer, the Hankook Ventus AS RH07 has been added to the product mix, joining the Ventus V12 evo, the Ventus V4 ES and the Optimo H727.
In addition, Hankook is offering consumers the opportunity to register to win a 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which is being offered as the grand prize for entrants through a random drawing, no purchase necessary.
“We had a tremendous response to the spring ‘Great Catch’ promotion,” said Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communications, Hankook Tire America Corp. “The rebate offer was well-received by consumers, and of course our dealers appreciated the extra traffic and sales that incentives like this bring to their businesses. The car giveaway netted more than 39,000 entries, introducing many people to our brand for the first time.
“Now with our fall ‘Great Hit’ promotion we’ve enhanced the consumer rebate and more than doubled the value of the car that we’re giving away, providing customers another compelling reason to consider Hankook, directing them to our website and ultimately into our retail points-of-sale.”
Hankook will be promoting the "Great Hit" Mail-In Rebate and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Giveaway through its advertising in high-traffic print and online consumer media. And, as the promotion is running from September through November when Major League Baseball’s regular season winds down and the playoffs and World Series take place along with the start-up of the NFL and College Football seasons Hankook will be ramping up its broadcast advertising with TV spots on ESPN, MLB Network, Versus, SPEED and TBS.
“These consumer-focused programs highlight our great products, drive traffic to both our website and dealers, and are clearly helping our company achieve our sales and market share goals,” Bainbridge said.
