SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Federal-Mogul has introduced what it claims are the first aftermarket front pads available for 2011 Kia Sorento models -- Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic brake pads. According to the company, the new part numbers mark a continuation of Federal-Mogul’s leadership in supporting the growth of automotive service businesses through superior late-model coverage.

In a press release issued Aug. 26, Federal-Mogul reports that the Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic front pads (p/n QC1432) are now available through auto parts stores and automotive service providers across the U.S. and Canada. ThermoQuiet Ceramic rear brake pads (p/n QC1284) are also available, enabling customers to perform a complete brake job, the company said.

“Federal-Mogul leverages its global engineering and manufacturing expertise to provide first-to-market braking solutions for foreign nameplate and domestic applications,” said Ken Selinger, director of friction products, North America, Federal-Mogul. “That first brake job on a late-model vehicle can lead to a long-term service relationship with the consumer. By relying on premium Wagner ThermoQuiet pads, repair facilities and auto parts stores can provide their customers truly world-class brake performance and reliability.”

Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic disc brake pads combine the exclusive benefits of two patented technologies: Federal-Mogul’s award-winning Integrally Molded Insulator (IMI) one-piece brake pad and Wagner EDGE Laser-Shaped Friction designs. Combined with the company’s extensive portfolio of proprietary, application-specific formulations, these technologies deliver quieter performance, superior stopping power and longer pad life, the company says. These pads are now available for a comprehensive range of vehicles that were factory-equipped with ceramic technology as well as many popular models originally using semi-metallic formulations.
