Alliance of Automotive Service Providers Announces 2010 AAPEX Seminar

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) will sponsor a seminar titled "Adding Social Media to Your Marketing Toolbox" at the 2010 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas. The program will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 9–10 a.m., at the Venetian Hotel.

Presented by Tyler Olson, owner and president of SMCpros, the presentation will help shop owners and managers learn how to use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media to bring customers to their doors.

Attendees will learn:

• How Social Media tools work and how to use them;
• Which services work best for automotive service businesses;
• Specific strategies that work best for the automotive industry;
• Factors to consider when deciding whether to do it on your own or hire someone;
• Other services that can help besides the "big 3"; and
• Efficient ways to use all or most of these services.

Olson consults on many technology-related topics such as social media. He began numerous businesses in his youth, won his first six-figure web project at age 21 and sold his first business at 23. His current venture, SMCpros, aims to help businesses utilize innovative web technologies to track results in their social media campaigns. PCWorld magazine recently featured Olson as a Young Entrepreneur making an impact on business through the use of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Olson brings to the table a unique combination of entrepreneurial, educational and political experiences relating to social networking.
