Product Manager in our
Consumer Products/Aftermarket group available.
The Consumer Products / Aftermarket business manages the Lubrizol Additives business in Automotive and Heavy Duty Performance Chemicals. The Consumer Products line includes aftermarket gasoline and diesel fuel additives, lubricant and engine treatments, transmission treatments and specialty additives. Our customers include the top brand marketers in DIY and DIFM aftermarket performance chemicals.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, manage and deliver the marketing support, product portfolio and select customer partnerships in support of this growing business.
Understand and implement marketing skills including product positioning, pricing, promotion and distribution.
Apply market knowledge to help customers grow their business and identify ways they can differentiate themselves.
Develop and publish promotional material (electronic and traditional).
Participate in or lead New Product Development teams, and provide market insight and analytical support
Maintain detailed knowledge of customers, competitors, and the market
Analyze market trends and predict business impact
Build relationships with other internal divisions and external groups (especially customers).
Analyze the business needs and identify effective solutions.
Convert market changes into opportunities for growth.
Develop, maintain, implement and communicate, with guidance, on innovative and realistic product line strategy.
Provide, with guidance, regional and segment product line strategy.
Participate in the development & maintenance of the business plan.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field
3+ years product management and/or business development experience
Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
Possess strong communication skills
Be highly organized and creative
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time; including mostly domestic and some international travel
CONSIDERED A PLUS:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Marketing
MBA degree
Previous Automotive Aftermarket industry experience
In-depth knowledge of automobiles and/or trucks
Ability to deal with tight timelines and budgets
Experience managing multiple customer programs ranging from small/short-term customer interactions to complex longer-term programs
SALARY RANGE: $57,500 TO $ $87,000
