NANAIMO, British Columbia, Canada — The entire VMAC family is deeply saddened, and will greatly miss, VMAC Owner and President Tony Menard, who died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Tony died in an unfortunate accident in the Somerset Mountain Range in a remote area of western Vancouver Island. Tony Menard founded and led VMAC and its employees since the mid 1980s, and was responsible for a number of ground-breaking innovations and developments that ensured the company's place and standing in the manufacturing industry. His entrepreneurship, compassion and foresight will serve as a legacy to his leadership as VMAC moves forward.

VMAC will endeavor to maintain business as usual, serving dealers and customers with the same attention, care and award-winning quality, but asks for patience and understanding during this initial period of grief.

VMAC is a manufacturer of air compressor systems for the mobile mechanic, tire service, utilities and construction industries. Specializing in UNDERHOOD and Hydraulic Above-Deck Systems, VMAC is credited with developing the lightest and most compact mobile air compressors available in the industry.
