SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – R. L. Polk & Co. has announced a new release of its National Vehicle Population Profile Online (NVPP).

Polk NVPP Online v1.2 provides aftermarket customers with simplified and accelerated, enterprise-wide access to Polk’s industry standard vehicle population data. With more than 90 selection criteria to choose from, the new release offers the highest degree of flexibility for analyzing vehicle characteristics, according to Polk.

Users can now leverage Ward’s original equipment build percentages, vehicle values, AAIA industry standards, battery information, tire and rim sizes, as well as vehicle maintenance items such as oil capacity and change intervals. This expansive array of data mining options translates to unparalleled accuracy in catalog and inventory decision support, the company noted.

“We are excited about providing our customers with even more capabilities and flexibility,” said Mark Seng, vice president, sales and client services for Polk’s aftermarket and commercial vehicle business. “We remain focused on our customers and on continuing to provide them with what is needed to make the best business decisions quickly.”

This latest release of NVPP Online offers a wider array of information on more than 240 million passenger cars and light-duty trucks registered on the road, including exact makes and models of vehicles in a particular market, engine detail, body style and information grouped by various levels such as ZIP code, DMA, state and other criteria. In addition, NVVP Online offers the ability to analyze information on cars and light-duty trucks in Canada and Puerto Rico.
