BROADVIEW, Ill. – Purolator has released its 2010 Catalog (G7CT10), for Group 7 by Purolator, a line of automotive filters targeting warehouse distributors (WDs) and jobbers that reach independent repair shop technicians.

Designed to enhance the success of WDs and ultimately, the repair shops, this catalog provides a comprehensive listing of oil, air and the newly added cabin air and fuel filters for passenger cars and light trucks.

"WDs are always interested in providing their customers with a quality product at a reasonable cost," said Ramon Nuñez, director of filtration for Robert Bosch LLC, joint venture owner of Purolator. "Distributed by Purolator, the complete line of Group 7 filters is backed by the quality and reputation of the brand and as such, these filters meet and/or exceed key OE performance specifications at competitive dealer net pricing.”

The trilingual 2010 Catalog for Group 7 by Purolator provides filter information by make, year, model or engine; by the manufacturer or competitor's number; or by the size or dimensions of the unit. For general information on a particular Group 7 part number there is an alphabetical listing of products with measurements.

The catalog features 200 new part numbers with expanded coverage for oil and air filters. It includes 98 percent vehicle coverage for oil filters, 90 percent coverage for air filters and for the new filtration lines - 88 percent coverage for fuel filters and 78 percent coverage for cabin air filters.

Apart from the regular application information, the catalog also includes technical bulletins, decimal and metric equivalents, an engine conversion chart, new products guide and superseded part numbers, hotline phone numbers, quick-change cross reference tables and much more.

"The Group 7 oil filter is the first aftermarket filter to follow the OE trend towards smaller filters while still meeting the fit and function requirements," said Nuñez. "Furthermore, because some parts are being consolidated, customers will be able to sell more with smaller inventories which will translate into greater order fill and cost containment due to reduced inventory requirements within the distributor channel."

Service professionals and DIYers can also reach out to the Purolator PROs (Purolator Response Office) team of experts, who will answer any filter-related question, for free, via personal e-mail within 48 hours. Purolator PROs can be contacted through the Purolator Web site at www.purolatorautofilters.net or via the Group 7 hotline at 800-526-4250.
