AKRON, Ohio – While in the area for the first leg of its Trilliant Technology Tour, Grote paid a visit to Babcox Media headquarters to offer Babcox editors and publishers an up-close look at all that the tour has to offer.

While in Akron, Mike Lane, traditional national accounts manager and eastern regional manager for Grote, gave the editors and publishers a brief presentation and tour of the custom-designed tour vehicle. Featuring 34 exterior work lamps, the Grote Trilliant Tour set-up includes an inflatable theater, multi-media experience and mobile work lamp comparison platform.

In March, Grote announced it was repurposing resources associated with several industry trade shows in order to pursue the Trilliant Technology Tour. The company has fully integrated the tour with Grote’s nationwide team of sales professionals in order to leverage increased face time with its customers and delve into the advantages of its LED WhiteLight work lamp technology. Rather than waiting to see customers at various trade shows, Grote is bringing the exhibit to them, allowing for a more customized, personalized visit. Grote is targeting its message to customers by fleet – waste haulers, utility fleets, material handlers, etc. – and is focusing on visiting places such as county garages.

The Trilliant Technology Tour kicked off in Cincinnati, Ohio, on June 1, and will visit 80 cities in total. After traveling west across the northern United States and parts of Canada this summer, the tour will make its way through the southern states during its return leg in the fall and winter, with its last stop tentatively scheduled for mid-December.

Anyone interested in tracking the tour will be able to follow the tour’s progress on Facebook and Twitter, and the tour has a microsite, TeamTrilliant.com, dedicated to its online promotion and presence.
