NASHVILLE, Tenn. Following the news earlier this week that it has sold its reman division LTD Parts to BBB Industries, Vista-Pro Automotive has announced the appointment of Steve Scharnhorst as its new president and CEO. Scharnhorst replaces Roger Brown, who is stepping down from the role of CEO.
Scharnhorst previously served as president and CEO of Excel Homes in Harrisburg, Pa., the largest custom modular manufacturer in the U.S. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, including positions with GNB Technologies, Exide Corp., Optima Batteries Inc. and Johnson Controls Power Solutions. While at Johnson Controls, he also served as vice president of global manufacturing for the Building Efficiency Group and managed manufacturing, purchasing and distribution operations.
Under his leadership and direction, Scharnhorst will build on Vista-Pro’s market-leading position in the automotive aftermarket climate control industry, creating and implementing strong market strategies, developing solutions based on customer needs, improving customer satisfaction and pursuing growth opportunities in the market.
“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Vista-Pro Automotive team,” said Scharnhorst. “This new company has a very bright future ahead, and I’m honored to be able to play a part in shaping its growth. Our mission is to become a world class company by delivering the highest-quality in the aftermarket, providing our customers with the value-added products backed by the reliability and technical support they need.”
