GASTONIA, N.C. -- WIX Filters is expanding its support for grassroots racing as the new title sponsor of the WIX Filters Round of 16 in the popular racing reality series, 'PINKS All Out' on the SPEED channel.
“While our support of racing spans every level, from dirt tracks to dragways, NASCAR super speedways and everywhere in between, we would not be the filter company we are today without the drivers, teams and fans who support grassroots, hometown racing,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters. “WIX’s sponsorship of the 'PINKS All Out' Round of 16 supports the drag racers who put their heart, soul and hard-earned money into being the best weekend drag racers out there.”
All racers who make it into the WIX Filters Round of 16 will receive a WIX Filters gift pack including a WIX shirt, hat, decals and $550 in WIX racing filters. Teams are also eligible to enroll in TEAM WIX, a racing sponsorship program that provides local race teams across America with Team WIX racing gear, decals and a 20 percent rebate on WIX racing filters.
“We’re excited about bringing WIX on board because 'PINKS All Out' contestants are racing their own cars that they build and maintain with their own money, and they need the latest technology to give them an edge at the track,” said Rich Christensen, creator and host of 'PINKS All Out'' “The PINKS All Out crew members are longtime fans and users of WIX Filters; it’s a brand we can personally attest to and stand behind.”
WIX engineers work with hundreds of different racing teams in developing the WIX Racing Filter line. WIX Racing Oil and Air Filters are designed to cover a full range of racing series, including NASCAR SPRINT Cup, Nationwide, Camping World Truck, USAR and ARCA, as well as dirt track, off-road and drag racing. WIX also offers remote mount oil filter bases and racing fuel filters.
'PINKS All Out,' currently in its fourth season in 2010, is the No. 3 rated original program on SPEED. In addition to its broadcast success, 'PINKS All Out' events were viewed live by more than 175,000 attendees during the 2009 season. The first event in 2010 took place on March 6 in Palm Beach, Fla., and the first of this season’s 13 episodes will air July 22 on SPEED.
