BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Genuine Parts Co. subsidiary, Motion Industries has received a Premier Supplier Award from Eaton Corp. for the third consecutive year. Motion Industries is a distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts.

Upon receiving the recognition, Bill Stevens, president and CEO of Motion Industries, stated, “Eaton’s Premier Supplier Award recognizes the consistently high level of service that we strive to provide at Motion Industries, and it is an honor to earn this significant award.”

Criteria for receiving this prestigious award include value, quality, delivery, optimization and overall performance. Motion Industries received recognition from Eaton in the Direct Supplier category for bearings and power transmission.

Award winners fall within one of two categories: Direct Materials and Indirect Materials. Direct materials suppliers are those that provide goods used directly in the making of products (i.e., bearings, gaskets, seals, castings) and Indirect Materials and Services suppliers provide goods used to make products or support the business (i.e., cutting fluid, maintenance repair, office supplies).
