Christine Karbowiak, Bridgestone Americas executive vice president of community and corporate relations, has been promoted to the newly created position of chief administrative officer.

In her new role, Karbowiak will be responsible for the company’s environmental affairs, internal audit, safety and industrial hygiene and corporate security, in addition to her present duties as head of Bridgestone’s corporate and internal communications and government affairs.

Karbowiak also sits on the Bridgestone Americas board.
