COLMAR, Pa. and EXTON, Pa. -- Dorman Products has sold its ignition distributor product line to WAI, effective March 5.

With its strategic vision centered around delivering new products to the aftermarket, Dorman determined that the ignition distributor business was not a complement to its future strategic plan.

WAI, a global leader in supplying the rotating electrical industry and manufacturer of electronics and sensors, has developed a full line of new distributors for the automotive aftermarket. The company said in the announcement of the acquisition that it is “pleased to have the opportunity to support the Dorman Distributor customers.” In addition, the company says it is committed to serving the customer's needs by providing a board line of 100 percent new, fully loaded distributors.
