ATLANTA -- Motion Industries, the Industrial Parts Group of Genuine Parts Co., has completed its acquisition of the North American assets of BC Bearing (BC Bearing and US Bearings), effective March 1.  

BC Bearing, headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., is a family owned bearing and power transmission distributor operating 53 branches throughout western Canada and the northwestern U.S.

GPC initially announced an agreement to acquire these assets on Dec. 21, 2009. The company expects the acquired business to generate annual revenues of approximately $155 million (CDN).

In addition, GPC said it will no longer be acquiring the assets of Canadian hydraulics specialist Norcan Fluid Power.
