SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Steven Gaut, vice president, corporate communications and government relations, has announced the appointment of Jim Burke to the position of director, global communications.
Most recently, Burke was group manager, global product and brand communications, at General Motors Corp. (GM). During his tenure at GM, Burke held various positions of increasing responsibility, including directing communications activities for worldwide facilities, economic development and enterprise services; various product publicity and human resources positions; as well as leading internal communications for GM North America.
"We are pleased to have Jim join the Federal-Mogul team," said Gaut. “Jim’s broad range of experience in global, product and brand communications will serve the company well. He will help strengthen our global outreach and further develop communications programs to highlight our leading technology and innovative products.”
Burke earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a master’s degree in business administration and industrial relations from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
